ordinary legislation (ordinary law) Explanation: The constitution can be viewed as entrenched, because constitutional statutes are more difficult to adopt, amend, supplement or repeal them than ordinary laws of the country. The rule of law in the Czech Republic is shaped by a hierarchy of legal provisions, the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms[1] occupies a superior position to ordinary laws. The Constitution of the Czech Republic[2] provides the Charter (that forms part of the constitutional order) a place at the top level of the legislative hierarchy. Constitutional laws and international treaties are not on the same level of the hierarchy as the Charter and Constitution, but these are both superior to ordinary laws, and must prevail in the event of a conflict with ordinary laws[3].
