Reference: 'germinal vescicle' vs 'gestational sac' Reference information: 'GV' should of course be interpreted in the light of the context, but I'll post this for information purposes: For ‘gestační váček, I find ‘gestational sac’. https://www.medvik.cz/bmc/view.do?gid=828248&type=3 germinal vesicle (GV) An oocyte nucleus development stage occurring within the ovarian follicle that is before meiosis 1 and meiosis 2. The nuclear chromatin changes can also be divided into an early decondensed phase (nucleolus not surrounded by heterochromatin) and a later chromatin condensed phase (perinucleolar rings can occur depending on species). gestational sac A fluid-filled structure that forms within the uterus early in pregnancy. In a normal pregnancy, a gestational sac contains a developing fetus. https://embryology.med.unsw.edu.au/embryology/index.php/G -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 9 hrs (2018-10-03 10:00:54 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- 'vescicle' should be 'vesicle', of course! |
