I believe that this is an investment in a type of group company that is neither a subsidiary nor an associated undertaking

English translation:Equity investments in associated companies
Explanation:
"tilknyttet virksomhed" could also be "group enterprise".

I have just looked the definition up in regnskabsordbogen and it says that a subsidiary company (Danish Dattervirksomhed), the parent company (moder virksomhed) are all \"tilknyttede virksomheder\". A \"tilknyttet virksomhed\" may also be an \"associate company\". In my English law dictionary it says that an associate company may be one that is partly owned by another one. I believe now I have chased this up \"affiliated company\" would be more suitable in your context.

I think my second suggestion is the best option, and it is general enough for your context.

\"Affiliate\" may or may not work. (affiliated company = when one company owns less than a majority of the voting stock of the other, or when both companies are subsidiaries of a chird company)
