Danish term or phrase: holdningskampagne
I am looking for a term that covers public (advertising) campaigns such as anti-smoking campaigns and pro use of bicycle helmets.

Does anyone know what British advertising agencies would call such campaigns?

Apparently, this is called a 'holdningskampagne' by Danish advertising agencies...

I hope this suggestion is affirmed or debunked by someone in the UK. I'm slightly surprised to see that the same term is used there as here in the U.S. See the links for examples.

I used "campaign" specifically because of "-kampagne" and your indication in your description. Along the way, I found examples for "public service advert" (here in the U.S. we'd use "advertisement", of course) and the mutual use of "public service announcement".

Thanks for your help, Charles. I submitted this along with the 'public information campaign' to the client, and they were happy with both.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks, Charles - This sounds pretty good, and I, too, would be glad to see it confirmed by someone in the UK. Came across 'public service announcement' and 'public service ad' = PSA, which would seem to be along the same lines.
