Hver maler har et stort udvalg af farver, der er i pulverform og som skal spartles op med vegetabilsk terpentin og tilsættes forskellige olier såsom **sejolie** og nellikeolie, alt efter om det er flader eller detaljer, der skal males.

This is a description of overglaze painting on porcelain, done after the glaze firing, and the colours are fixed by further firing.

This was definitely useful and put me on the right track. It is also arrived fast and is used, so four points!

My client's supplier uses the French name for the product, essens grasse, and says this is also used in English, so I am adding it to the glossary.

(fat oil is a translation of that, so there you go!)
