monetary salary
Explanation:
More context would help, but ´kontantløn´ is salary paid out in cash, as opposed to employee benefits in kind, e.g. a car, which could be used partly for private purposes as well as for work.

The value of the employee benefit is usually taxable, and in some cases it may be simpler and even advantageous from a tax point of view if the employer pays a cash allowance as part of the salary instead of supplying benefits in kind.

Here, instead of a car, the agreement would be about IT equipment. In principle it could be about any employee benefit.

It is not an area I specialise in, so someone else may have a better explanation.

There is a somewhat outdated example here of some tax calculations, but these arrangements do not involve IT equipment as often as they used to - broad band connections are more or less universal!

Hi Christine. In this particular case, "salary packaging" fit the context perfectly. It is indeed salary deductions for use of IT equipment. Tack.

Social security scheme or social security benefits

Explanation:
I believe that kontantløn is the same as kontanthjælp - hence my suggested translation.

neutral  Christine Andersen: Kontanthjælp is NOT the same as kontantløn. Kontantløn is salary paid out in Kroner, as opposed to employee benefits such as cars, computers, canteen meals, health schemes etc. paid for by the employer.
