I think forbrydelsen is the name of a TV series.

What does it mean, please?

Could you separate it up into parts and explain the parts, please?

E.g. for+brydels+en - if Danish is like Swedish I think that -en = the.

The basic word is "forbrydelse" - you are correct in assuming that the "-en" ending is the definite form, as in Swedish.

Ah, I see that I didn't fully read the question.

Well, it does mean THE crime, since it is forbrydelsen and not just forbrydelse (definite form).
