windows with small panes Explanation: ´Sprosser´ can refer to bars, mullions and transoms, or even to leaded cames. I think the nearest you can get is small-paned windows or windows with small panes. Compare the pictures you get by googling ´småsprossede vinduer´ and ´small-paned windows.´ The term might also apply to leaded windows (pronounced ledded, from the metal lead). Here the small panes are held together by lead cames -- and the word IS spelt cames, so ignore the spelling checker... Again, google for pictures. |
