And Den Danske Ordbog (
http://ordnet.dk/ddo/ordbog?query=kigge) agrees with you, Jørgen. Strange then that Politikkens Nudansk has the mixture. But this is the way of languages, where the old saying about "the only thing that is constant in life is change" (or something like that) comes into its own. As for it being lamentable, what's the point of lamentation? Human beings are endlessly creative and language is an area where everyone can participate. Why not enjoy the creativity and accept that if something is said "wrongly" by enough people, it becomes right over time? After all, you can't stop it. When, for example, did "weekend" becomes a Danish word? Even the French use it. Words without borders.
Well, that's my bit of philosophising out of the way for today - now back to painting the bloody house :)
