All I can find is klatgaeld meaning small debt.

An idiomatic expression for something to do with moving or driving around with small change perhaps?

Asker: Many thx. To be honest, Christine, I did initially enter this as a pro question, but frankly didn't know whether this question 'could be answered by a native (Danish) speaker without the use of a dictionary'.

Asker: Tusen takk! I should have mentioned, mea culpa, that the full title of the TV program was "Kør med klatten og bliv gældfri på en aften" Only later did this phrase appear: Det kan tage lang tid at afvikle klatgælden, men med quizprogrammet KØR MED KLATTEN har udvalgte detltagere mulighed for at få det overstået på bare en aften. I have the impression that there is a pun here, after all...

agree  Thomas T. Frost: I'm native but certainly didn't understand it. On the other hand, I haven't lived in Denmark since the term became known. Some Danish slang is just plain weird and incomprehensible if one hasn't come across it before.
