I thought this was a "thread" , or wrapper, but could it be a coil?

Det tjekkes, at monteringsbeslaget er svejst ordentligt fast til carcassen, dvs. at de to yderste vindinger i hver ende skal være svejst sammen og svejst fast til monteringsbeslaget, så den yderste vinding ikke brækker fra resten af carcassen, når der trækkes.

Med skydelæren skal der måles over ca. 10 vindinger – dog ikke flere, end at der er mindst 1,5 vinding ud til svejsningerne for hver ende af testemnet.
