Når der afleveres epoxyprøver til LAB, SKAL ballufixen være skåret af og røret skal været mellem 300-320mm langt med epoxy i hele stykket samt proppet til i begge ender – ikke med tape men med DBI dutter (det hedder de faktisk).

DBI-caps
Explanation:
These are caps manufactured by the company DBI Plastics, and - I suppose as part of clever marketing - they name them 'DBI-dutter'. - I suggest this should be reflected in the translation as well, hence my suggestion.
The company produces a broad range of protective caps and plugs.

Hope this helps :-)

end-caps

Explanation:
DBI dutter is a version of the Norwegian word duppeditter or dubbeditter, which in English is contraption, doodad, doohickey, gadget, gizmo, thingamabob, widget, or thingamajig. However, there is a proper word for stopping ends on a tube in English, which seems to be what you are looking for here. That word is end-caps. So you can translate the word as is, or the intention of the word, unless this is to be considered a proper noun because the company took a regular noun and abbreviated it and made it into a product name, which might be the case in this situation.

agree  Lene Johansen: This is clever! Although I would run this by the company's marketing department before I started using it in translations.

-> Thanks Lene, I'm not sure there would be any copyright issues here, given the word 'caps' is common, but David could take that into consideration. (in a sense, the company should be happy to receive "extra" exposure :-)

agree  564354352 (X): How about a combination: DBI end caps?

-> Thanks Gitte, ..there's another thought for David...spoilt for choice :-)
