Fow what it's worth, going through the German - a dodgy excercise indeed - I see that Ernst's Wörterbuch der industriellen Technik - gives (Chem) plant unit or section for Teilanlage. sub-unit Explanation: Sub-system is also correct, but if it's an air separation unit rather than system, sub-unit may fit better. (In my experience, a 'system' has tended to be something larger, whereas a constituent 'unit' tends to refer to something smaller, so perhaps it depends on the size/extent of the system.) google + own experience |
