agree  Terence Ajbro: though nursery and kindergarden are often understood as being the same in the UK. I doubt whether "vuggestuer" as they are known in DK exist in the UK

agree  Jande: nursery (babies), creche 2-3 y/o to kindy 3-4 y/o (day care - dagpleje is often both nursury/creche and kindy combined) preschool/prep is in some areas similar to boenehaveklasse. Family day care would be the similar to a dayplejemor.

Explanation:
There is no exact equivalentto børnehave in UK English, but I think "reception class" does fit because it is the first class a child attends when it starts school in the UK, and in DK "børnehave" is attended by children between 3 and 7 - more or less the same age as children in "reception class".
