Explanation:
"Hoveri" in Danish is an old term referring to the old feudal system and as far as I am aware "villeinage" refers to exactly this type of feudal system - so I also believe that this is the term to use

My original post is actually not referring to the service but the relationship. I used villeinage as a straight translation of the word hoveri which I believe is correct. I also believe that in this context it works best to use "villain services" or corvée labour in order to capture the sentence that the asker has provided.

disagree  Charles Ek: See my revised response to Diarmuid's answer. Other than that single, slightly ambiguous use by Coke, you'll be hard-pressed to find support for using this to refer to the service itself.

  -> In your reference "villeinage" is stated as being the service of a bondman. So both villeinage and villein service should usable terms here depending on how you construct the sentence.
