Dutch term or phrase: nuances of 'toegeven'
Would anyone know any good indicators as to when this might be 'admit' and when 'give in/yield'?

Dat gevoel van verveling, waar je het nogal moeilijk mee hebt, ookal geef je dat niet toe, moet je door een hele nieuwe vrijetijdsbesteding proberen te overbruggen

toegeven = yield, surrender, submit; admit

'although you don't admit to it' ; or, 'although you don't give in to it' (twee verschillende betekenissen)

Dank u wel!

admit to it

Explanation:
In the sentence above it should be 'admit to it'.

'Giving into it' is 'ERAAN toegeven' in Dutch.

agree  Ken Cox: I'd undersand 'admit to' to mean 'publicly acknowledge', but it's a subtle distinction and usage probably varies
