I don't think I would use if possible. Dutch sometimes drives me crazy. Is it optional or not? Why can't they just say that in the Dutch? Anyway, to me it seems likely that the client wants the software, but does not want to commit itself. My take anyway

Now I'm wondering if the author perhaps meant that this is een "optional" requirement. I'm thinking of writing something along the lines of "The [software] system will be implemented (if possible and necessary) on the Microsoft BackOffice server." "If possible" might indicate that this particular server may or may not be able to support the software, and "necessary" might indicate that this particular server may or may not be required for the software provider's solution (several different servers are listed). What I'd like to hear is whether or not you think this is a reasonable translation or whether I am way off target and the translation is ridiculous.
