construction work package Explanation: See the following website: https://www.designingbuildings.co.uk/wiki/Construction_work_... “Construction work packaging Packaging is normally associated with general contractors who split a large project into a series of work packages suitable for obtaining tenders and placing orders with the subcontracting and goods supply chain, thereby transferring risk for delivering some elements of the works to others.“ |

trades (construction trades) Explanation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_construction_trades I think the last sentence points to the fact that trades are involved. This is just a list but for example the carcass trade (ruwbouw) is one of the trades involved here. |

construction lot Explanation: In the context of procurement/contracting/bidding in general, I believe the term 'lot' is the same in English, i.e. large contracts are divided into smaller 'lots'. In this specific context (construction bidding), 'construction lot' seems a good option. http://www.sigmaweb.org/publications/Public-Procurement-Poli... https://www.government-online.net/bradford-council-construct... For Construction Lots of up to 15 units bidders will be required to have a minimum “general” yearly turnover of 500 000 GBP for the last 3 years: for these lots SME or start-ups that cannot meet the lowest level of turnover must provide evidence that they can obtain a performance bond or provide a parent company guarantee for projects over 250 000 GBP. https://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:190962-2018:TEXT:EN... n June 2014, TunnelTalk published the list of groups that prequalified to bid on each of the construction lots (Table 1). https://www.tunneltalk.com/UK-London-27Feb2015-Preferred-bid... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 days 13 mins (2020-01-20 12:13:04 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- As explained more fully in the first reference above, a contract can be divided into smaller lots by, among other things, service type. I believe that's the case here. The contract could be divided in a number of ways, which could possibly be combined, for example: • Geographical – divide the contract into four sub-regions, with each sub-regional lot covering all of the services required in the sub-region. • Service type – divide the contract by type of service, with each service being provided across the whole region. With six lots, the services could be divided as follows: Lot 1 – general planned repairs, maintenance and emergency repairs; Lot 2 – electrical installation and maintenance; Lot 3 – gas appliance installation and maintenance; Lot 4– window replacement and repairs; Lot 5 – roof repairs and maintenance; Lot 6 – decorating. • Value – create a “low-value” lot, using a multi-supplier framework agreement to award contracts below EUR 20 000, perhaps also divided by service type. http://www.sigmaweb.org/publications/Public-Procurement-Poli... |
