The contour prepared on the edge of a plate or profile for a butt-welded joint is called an edge preparation, and sometines, as you correctly surmised, a weld preparation. In your example, the inside pipe (tube) edge remains square, while the outside is chamfered. The edge preparation would be a bevel for a full penetration joint, which is not the case here.
