opzet

Dutch to English translations [Non-PRO]
Law/Patents - Law (general) / in a Mandate and general terms and conditions

opzet (De Valks jur. woordenboek):

intent, intention, intentional act, mens rea, fraud,...?
Can you help me on deciding which is the right term to use here? I would go for "intention" but am not sure; "fraud" sounds much better in the sentence but am not sure it isn't too narrow a term to be used for "opzet".

TIA for your suggestions.

(You must be right. I get zero hits on Google for "ignorant unidiomatic legal".)

agree  Kitty Brussaard: This term often appears together with 'grove schuld' (as in: opzet of grove schuld > wilful misconduct or gross neglicence).

-> It's an everyday term basically. That's why I voted it non-pro. It shouldn't be presenting a problem.
