rubber toughening, rubberisation Explanation: Chambers Dict. of Science & Technology: "rubber toughening - Many homopolymers are brittle, glassy solids at ambient temperatures but can be toughened by copolymerization with elastomeric polymers." Not sure if this is applicable in your case, though. Perhaps a more or less literal rendering as 'rubberisation' would do the trick here. |
