Good moaning Explanation: 'Good moaning' was used in the TV series 'Allo Allo'. Maybe you could use it too. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 hrs (2009-01-09 11:45:12 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- OK, 'goods mornings' (goeiesmorgens) and 'good moaning' (goeiemoggel) then. You will need something at one stage! :-) |

Reference: goeiemoggel Reference information: From: DutchNews.nl Goeiemoggel is the latest word from the wonderful world of advertising to catch on in everyday language. The word is actually a bastardisation of Goedemorgen (good morning) and comes from a KPN commercial in which large-fingered fishermen attempt to send a text message... The word has really caught on - even princess Laurentien used it to welcome guests at a conference - of language buffs! But watch out how you say it. One man misinterpeted the cheery greeting as an insult - he was being called a ‘mongol’ - and the result was a brawl. Try searching YouTube for 'goeiemoggel' if you're interested in seeing the original TV ad. Reference: http://www.dutchnews.nl/dictionary/2007/12/goeiemoggel.php |
