sulcus lens Explanation: . -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 mins (2012-05-18 13:31:58 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I've just read your discussion entry. They're surgically implanted lenses, and vouwbar is "foldable" - try Googling foldable + "sulcus lens". Reference: http://www.google.com/search?q=%22sulcus+lens&ie=utf-8&oe=ut... |

sulcus lens Explanation: 'Sulcus' is another word for 'ciliary body'. The term 'sulcus lens' is also used in English as far as I know. http://eyeworld.org/article.php?sid=6267 In Dutch: http://www.oogartsen.nl/oogartsen/refractie_chirurgie/contac... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 46 min (2012-05-18 14:09:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- See the above reference in Dutch. The lens is rolled and implanted. 'The use of a flexible IOL enables the lens to be rolled for insertion into the capsule through a very small incision, thus avoiding the need for stitches, and this procedure usually takes less than 30 minutes in the hands of an experienced ophthalmologist.' |
