Dutch term or phrase: plooien
'Plooien van de pijpstukken volgens plannen (...)'

'Controle van de geplooide bochten volgens een kwaliteitsplan.(hardheden, ovaliteit, enz).'

'(...) de plooiprocedures en bijhorende plooitekeningen.'
--------------------------
My question is what would be the best English term for 'plooien,' in a (pipes/tubes) welding context? (Both as a verb and a noun.)

Thanks in advance!

bending
Explanation:
Bend the pipe segments according to the plans/specifications.
Inspection of the bended pipe elbows according to...
Bending procedures and ...

Another alternative for "plooien", "crimping", would not be suitable in this context.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Hmm. I think I might use 'creasing,' in combination with 'corrugated.' I just did a comparative Google Image search on: 'corrugated pipe elbow', and 'geplooide pijp bocht.'

disagree  Nick van Boshoven: maybe too late but i would maybe go for something like fold and folding in this case. bending doesnt imply plooien.

disagree  vixen: I agree with Nick that "buigen" and "plooien" are not the same thing.
