useful beam Explanation: fysiek / materieel zijn de effectieve bundel en de primaire bundel identiek taalkundig worden de tegendelen - effectief en niet-effectief - geïntroduceerd Primary beam: that part of the X-radiation from an X-ray analysis unit which passes through an aperture of the tube housing and is intended for use as the primary source of X-radiation incident on a target. effectief <-> niet-effectief effectief = the part of the X-radiation intended for use as X-radiation incident on a target bewust aangewende/gerichte bundel niet-effectief = leakage radiation leakage radiation = the radiation passing through a source housing except for that in the useful beam http://iate.europa.eu/FindTermsByLilId.do?lilId=1367554&lang... beam a unidirectional, or approximately unidirectional, emission of electromagnetic radiation or particles. useful beam in radiology, that part of the primary radiation that is permitted to emerge from the tubehead assembly of an x-ray machine, as limited by the aperture or port and accessory collimating devices. http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/useful beam -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day2 hrs (2014-06-28 15:25:19 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- De bronhouder heeft een stralingsopening waaruit de ioniserende straling van de bron (effectieve bundel) naar buiten kan treden. http://tinyurl.com/qy8amvg -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day2 hrs (2014-06-28 15:36:55 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- primary radiation: part 1 = useful beam (primary radiation beam) part 2 = leakage radiation -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day7 hrs (2014-06-28 20:44:12 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- I don't agree with your comment. You can find my arguments in my answer and the discussion entries. Please have another good look at it. 'useful beam' is exactly what you need. So I will enter 'useful beam' as a glossary entry |
