Dutch term or phrase: architectural terms (3)
See the general remarks under ‘architectural terms (1)’. (8) borstwering [gevelvoegwerk van de borstwering onder rechter raamkozijn begane grond] – none of the standard dictionary definitions seem to fit, since they refer to a freestanding wall. I think this refers to the lower portion of a masonry wall, which is sometimes made from a different material than the rest of the wall, or made thicker. (9) gootklos [vanuit de segmentboog tot de gootklos] (10) aanhelling [Een 3-tal licht gescheurde gevelstenen ter plaatse van de aanhelling].

Breastwork?, gutter bearer

Explanation:
No luck with aanhelling I'm afraid, and 8) - I understand it to be 'part of a wall under the windows', as a structural term. Would 'splash wall' fit the bill? (a term used for breakwaters).
9) gutter bearer
10) ?

Hi Ken

Having been stumped by terms no. 4 I went looking for them on the web - no joy under search, but I did find the wonderful www.bouw.com, which has a search mechanism for building terms. Although it doesn't explain them,it gives you a whole load of addresses (with web links if applicable) of companies that produce/use these things. And 'borstweringen' is among the terms. Hope this helps!
