Brain has gone on vacation...........can't find a way to say this in English that makes sense. This is an excerpt from a book on wine regions in France.
Context: Tijdens de eeuwenlange Genuese overheersing van Corsica, begonnen in 1347, werd wijnbouw op het eiland sterk gestimuleerd. ***Het motief daarvoor was louter zakelijk***: Genua zag zijn kolonie als een verschaffer van goed verhandelbare wijn.
"purely one of business" "pure business" etc. don't sound right to me......is it just me? Thanks!
