Tijdens een revisie (van een handleiding van een scanapparaat) kom ik hetvolgende tegen :

"Afin d'effacer ce mot, consulter le paragraphe 1.5"

Het gebruik van "afin de" is hier niet juist volgens mij, maar ik kan niet goed uitleggen waarom, kan iemand mij hierbij helpen?

Beter klinkt sowieso : "Pour effacer ce mot, consulter 1.5"

Afin de, afin que ne sont pas exactement synonymes de pour, pour que. En effet afin (de, que) appartient à la langue littéraire ou du moins à la langue soutenue, pour (que) appartient à tous les registres de la langue. etc.
Het klopt dus dat je het vreemd vond.
