El texto cuenta que los predicadores iban a sentarse ante la chimenea de la casa del "mayordomo" (o sea la casa del "koster").

El "mayordomo del cura" por llamarlo de alguna manera es el sacristán. Pero esto debe de ser sólo en la religión católica y este texto habla de religiosos protestantes. Así que "koster" no puede ser sacristán. Ni "kosterswoning" sacristía, por eso y porque además en Wikipedia he leído que la sacristía no es donde vive el sacristán, es donde se guardan las reliquias, las hostias y todo eso (o sea que también tiene que ver con la religión católica solamente)... en fin, todas esas palabras religiosas que conocemos pero que no sabemos exactamente dónde ubicar...

No puedo dejar "kosterswoning" como "casa del mayordomo". Queda como demasiado "chic" que un predicador tuviese mayordomo ¿se os ocurre algo un poco más cercano al ámbito religioso protestante para llamar al "ayudante del pastor"?

el "koster" sí es el sacristán (explicación abajo), la sacrestía no es la vivienda del "koster".

Uit bijgaande link blijkt dat er óók in de protestantse kerk over kosters worden gesproken:

"Functie binnen de christelijke kerk.

Bij de protestantse kerk staat de koster in dienst van een kerkelijke gemeente met als taak het beheer van, en toezicht op het kerkgebouw en de zorg voor de huishoudelijke diensten, zoals voor kerkdiensten, vergaderingen van de kerkenraad, catechese en gemeentelijke verenigingen. In vroegere eeuwen was de protestantse koster veelal ook schoolmeester, voorzanger, klokluider en begrafenisondernemer. In de protestantse kerken kent men voor de koster geen kledingsvoorschrift. In de Rooms-Katholieke Kerk is de koster de helper van de pastoor, en is hij gerechtigd zich te kleden als geestelijke."
