English term or phrase: zipper method
Excuse me for asking about an English term that I invented myself (translation from Swedish). The problem is that I am looking for an traffic term in Albanian, or a term invention if there is no term in the existing language.

When two roads join into one, going in the same direction, Swedish traffic rules say that you should use the "zipper method". It means that one car from the left is followed by one car from the right side, and then again one from the left and another from the right side. Works lika a charm, and both parties are winners. Slow, but never a complete stop for either side.

Is this known in Britain? What's it called? What do you suggest for Albanian?

The suggestion I got from elsewhere is "ndërthurje e ndërsjellë" which I feel I can accept if there is no other/better suggestion.

(For zipper I get "zinxhirë" in Albanian. Ambiguous.)

If you want a picture, look at this:

Text in Swedish, but you just need to understand the orange traffic sign.

Thanks for your suggestion. To tell you the truth, I won't use it, since I want to avoid the ambiguous zinxhir. It could be interpreted as "driving in a line" (instead of combining two of them).
