I am all for keeping it simple and Albanian :) 16:40 Apr 10, 2011
The flow of terms in different fields has increased greatly and avoiding translation clashes for each is not easy. Certain terms have been used and established, some are undergoing a "test and practise" stage (they may stick or phase out), and some are being used flat-out wrong. When translating, one needs to realise which of these categories a term belongs to. The first one should be a translator's piece of cake; the second would incur some research and decision-taking, including considering whether: *there are sufficient instances of its use - especially from official sources *the wording is clear and appropriate - and in no way misleading *it does not clash with another term If all of these points are satisfied, then there is no cause to look further and complicate things.
I have to agree that, off the top of my head, I would have gone for Juliana's choice, but Fabiana's point that its use is almost inexistent is valid (almost - as there a few "kushte referimi" to be found :) |
