The Rabigh 2 Project includes the expansion of the existing ethane cracker and the addition of refinery and petrochemicals units as well as the required associated infrastructure and utilities. Project will be highly integrated with the Phase 1 facilities through the exchange of numerous feedstock, intermediate and end product streams. The new facilities will utilise a variety of feedstocks made available from the Phase 1 facilities as well as from imports. The Rabigh 2 Project scope includes:

• the construction and operation of additional refinery units, including a naphtha reformer and aromatics complex, producing around 1,340,000 tonnes per annum of paraxylene and 172,000 tonnes per annum of benzene;
• the expansion of the existing ethane cracker to process an additional 30 mmscfd of ethane, enabling the production of an extra 292,000 tonnes per annum of polymer grade ethylene;
