English term or phrase: typosquatting
Definition from McAfee:
Typosquatting, also known as URL hijacking, is a form of cybersquatting (sitting on sites under someone else’s brand or copyright) that targets Internet users who incorrectly type a website address into their web browser (e.g., “Gooogle.com” instead of “Google.com”). When users make such a typographical error, they may be led to an alternative website owned by a hacker that is usually designed for malicious purposes.Hackers often create fake websites that imitate the look and feel of your intended destination so you may not realize you’re at a different site. Sometimes these sites exist to sell products and services that are in direct competition with those sold at the website you had intended to visit, but most often they are intended to steal your personal identifiable information, including credit cards or passwords.

Example sentence(s):
  • Registering multiple spellings of your domain name could end up saving your customers and your brand reputation in the long run. Consider acronyms, plural, typos, hyphen, etc — every possible mistake that could lead to probable typosquatting. Medium
  • When the international domain name rules were changed to allow anyone to register a URL with an extension previously tied to specific countries, it created a brand new wave of typosquatting attacks. spambrella
  • More recently, typosquatting has been used to spread so-called ‘fake news’, by presenting false news stories in links that appear to be from legitimate news outlets, at first glance at least. On social media, this is often enough to go viral. fasthosts

تصيّد أخطاء المستخدمين في كتابة عناوين المواقع

Definition from own experience or research:
تصيّد المخترقين للأخطاء المطبعية للمستخدمين عند كتابة عناوين المواقع الإلكترونية
تصيّد المخترقين احتياليًا للأخطاء المطبعية للمستخدمين عند كتابة عناوين المواقع الإلكترونية

Example sentence(s):
- Wikipedia

Explanation:
"السطو الإلكتروني" is definitely correct, but too general.
"استغلال الأخطاء الإملائية لسرقة الشخصية" is also correct, but represents one aspect. There are cases other than "سرقة الشخصية".
It is better to use "الأخطاء المطبعية" rather than "الإملائية" (a mistake in typing the letter, not necessarily a mistake in syntax or grammar). I think that "الأخطاء، أخطاء" is sufficient enough to refer to typing errors in this context.

تسجيل أسماء النطاقات وفق الأخطاء المطبعية المتكررة لإعادة التوجيه (التحايل الإلكتروني)

Definition from meemapps.com:

Example sentence(s):
- itigic.com
  • Typosquatting is a type of social engineering attack which targets internet users who incorrectly type a URL into their web browser rather than using a search engine. Typically, it involves tricking users into visiting malicious websites with URLs that are common misspellings of legitimate websites. Users may be tricked into entering sensitive details into these fake sites. For organizations victimized by these attackers, these sites can do significant reputational damage. The ‘typo’ in typosquatting refers to the small mistakes people can make when typing on a keyboard. Typosquatting is also known as URL hijacking, domain mimicry, sting sites, or fake URLs. - www.kaspersky.com
