Universal Controller for Interpreting IM Specifications
The abstract machine that interprets IM specifications expressed in XML, named
XFlow Interaction Controller (XFIC), is implemented as a universal controller in Java
using Java Servlet API 2.1. XFIC runs on an application server and replaces servlets
that otherwise would need to be written to coordinate session management, page
delivery, dispatching client responses and routing the response information to
appropriate parts of a user application and to Java Beans that implement application’s
business logic. IM specifications expressed in XML that XFIC interprets are called
control files and are stored in the XFIC repository
