مع كاتم صوت Explanation: The English phrasing is confusing. It reads as if the ammo itself is suppressed. Actually, it is the firearm that is suppressed, not the ammo. Therefore, when you translate the sentence to Arabic, I would suggest that you rephrase it thus: "The killer used IMI 9mm subsonic ammo with a suppressor." In other words, insert مع كاتم صوت at the end of the sentence. Other alternatives: وكاتم صوت إضافةً إلى كاتم صوت Suppressors are also called silencers. I have seen them called both كاتم صوت and كاتمة صوت. In truth, I don't know why they don't just call them كاتم or كاتمة. |
