Dear all,

What does "Teesside" refer to in:

"Yakubu enjoyed a successful first season at Everton in 2007, following his move from Teesside."

It's not the town. Also I only found "Teeside Football League" but I I don't know which one is meant. What is "Teesside Football League"?

Yakubu is a Nigerian player.
