I Agree with Mr. Ali al-Nuzaili as our translated text lasts for ever, so people in the coming centuries will not be able to recognize witch thirties do we mean. Besides, if the text contains many dates and decades, like the 1840s, the 1780s, etc - and this is the case of my text - in this case we should determine which century do we mean. Thank you all for your contributions.

Another point which is worthy to mention is that 'the 30s, the 40s, etc' is translated as follows: 'الثلاثينيات، الأربعينيات، الخ' rather than 'الثلاثينات، الأربعينات، الخ'.
