Jasno je da se u tekstu govori o hlađenju namotaja generatora vodom (i to direktno - namotaji su u vodi koja oko njih cirkuliše), a možda je u naslovu propušteno „for“: water-cooling for windings (vodeno hlađenje za namotaje); pitajte klijenta...

Upravo je ovo izvorni tekst koji sam dobio iz New Yorka...tj. original verzija koja mi je dostavljena za prevod! Upravo mi je to bilo i cudno...znam sta je kalem sa namotajem el. provodnika ali izraz cooloing...je li moguce da se radi o rashladjivanju putem ventilatora...prije nego vodom...nesto mi voda i struja ne idu zajedno...? Hvala unaprijed na pomoci...

If an ac hi-pot is to be conducted, it may be accomplished either with or without cooling water in the windings. With water in the winding, the leakage current through the water column will require greater kilovolt ampere output from the test set than if the winding was dry. Also if water is contained in the winding, it should be circulating to prevent overheating in the hoses. There is no danger during this test of breakdown through the water to ground within the range of recommended hi-pot voltage as long as conductivity re- mains within normal operating limits. However, if the water is stagnant in the hoses, the conduction cur- rent will heat the water and could produce boiling and subsequent damage to the hoses. If the winding has been drained and dried, air at atmospheric pressure should be present in the winding during the hi-pot. Air under a partial vacuum is a poor dielectric and may cause a failure to ground through the air column inside the cooling water hoses during the hi-pot test. Simply admitting atmospheric air to the winding will eliminate this problem.

Predlažem da proverite spelling ili da date širi kontekst - namotaji (windings) su elektro-provodnici (pa kroz njih ne može teći rashl. voda); da nije možda water-cooled windings - vodom hlađeni namotaji
