От ръководство на апарат за анестезия:

When ХХХ mode is selected, the inspiratory flow for the first three inspirations is the same as in YYY mode, with an inspiratory pause of 20% in order to measure patient compliance. This compliance value is used to calculate the inspiratory pressure needed to deliver the set tidal volume to the patient.

Видях в мултитран, че едно от значенията е "изменение в обема на белите дробове при изменение на налягането", което според мен е вярното значение в този контекст, но не намирам съответния термин на български.
