Frank对vertical的解释，在所有产业里都是惯常的理解。比方说，vertical integration和horizontal integration的用法就明显分开产业的“垂直关联性”和“并行(水平)关联性”。前者指的是“上中下游产业的集成”，后者指的是“相关并行供货产业的集成”。
