U nekoliko različitih izvora na internetu termin pre-salt se koristi i kao ime geološke formacije i u dosta neformalnom smislu, a i prevodi se s portugalskog na engleski. Zato mi se čini u redu prevođenje termina kao predsolni, odnosno predsolne naslage.
