brown box Fabrik-kasse Explanation: Learned this one while working in logistics. A brown box can also be called a manufactures box, or in Danish, which is how I first learned the term, fabriks-kasse. I do not think there has been a documented source for the term. These boxes are sent to a distributor who can drop it into a retail box. That box can change quickly without changing the brown box.
