Three reed switches are used on the baler to monitor the knotters and the needles. The switches are actuated when an actuator (magnet) is moved close to the end of the switch. All of the switches are normally open switches

agree  Dziadzio: Hvis reed er navnet på en producent staves det med stort, i.e. Reed-kontakt

  -> Tak Dziadzio, Jeg har mest set det stavet med småt. Udtrykket er ihvertfald 30-40år gammelt; jeg er ikke 100% sikker på, hvor det stammer fra, men gætter på det kommer fra 'reed', som betyder 'rør', da en reed-kontakt ofte er rørformet.
