Als in: The aim of this course is to teach some of the fundamental properties of radioactivity: random behaviour, the exponential decay law, notions of half-life, decay constant and activity.

Het betreft hier een EU-curriculum voor scholen, en in dit geval over natuurkunde (niet mijn sterkste kant).
Wat ik tot zover heb kunnen vinden - exponential decay law = exponentiële vervalwet (4 hits) = Dämpfungsfaktor in het Duits (Proz) = exponentiële dempingsfactor (4 hits).

Zoals gezegd, mijn kennis over natuurkunde is "a bit rusty", maar volgens mij zijn "vervalwet" en "dempingsfactor" twee verschillende zaken.

Kortom, wie weet de correcte Nederlandse vertaling van "exponential decay law".

agree  Michiel Leeuwenburgh: Die "wet" kun je inderdaad gewoon weglaten. Volgens mij bestaat er geen "wet van exponentieel verval". Desgewenst zou je er "eigenschappen/kenmerken van exponentieel verval" van kunnen maken.
