Ik zou het zelf dan ook gewoon houden op 'per gebeurtenis'. 'Limit' verwijst hier zo te zien naar een cumulatielimiet. Eventueel ook: maximum verzekerd bedrag (cumulatief) per gebeurtenis. Of: maximum uit te keren bedrag (cumulatief) per gebeurtenis.
