Ik heb even een eierbedrijf in Barneveld voor je gebeld en zij vertelden mij dat ze gewoon tray zeggen of eiertray. De eierboeren gebruiken kennelijk ook trees (zo geschreven) als 'eierslang', als gewoon de vernederlandte versie van trays zeg maar.

Explanation:
(kartonnen) eierrek (als het om "verpakking" gaat).
Ik kan zo gauw geen plaatje vinden maar de eerste link onder "eierrek losse eieren" laat iets vergelijkbaars zien. Dit zijn stapelbare eierrekken met losse eieren die je in Nederlandse winkels of markten kunt vinden.

Ja, het plaatje van Textpertise laat zien wat ik bedoel. We noemen ze (kartonnen) eierrekken voorzover ik weet.

This is the term in English as well. It is a brand name and refers to the fibre trays in which Eggs are usually transported. I have given a link to a picture.
