Ik kan een juiste vertaling nergens vinden, maar ben wel: posttrombotisch syndroom tegen gekomen. Kan dit worden gebruikt?

Denk dat dit 'post-phlebitic syndrome' moet zijn en dat dit in het Nederlands inderdaad 'posttrombotisch syndroom' is.

Bij flebitis treedt dacht ik ook stolselvorming op:
Zie bijv.:
"Flebitis = plaatselijke ontsteking (-itis) en stolselvorming (= trombo-) van de wand van een oppervlakkig gelegen ader (= vene)":

Het is dus niet zo vreemd dat men het in het NL aanduidt met 'posttrombotisch syndroom'. De term 'postflebitisch syndroom' wordt m.i. nauwelijks gebruikt.

disagree  Roos Kolkena (X): volgens mij is post flebitisch:na een aderontsteking .Posttrombotisch:na een verstopping door een bloedprop.Dit kan dezelfde symptomen geven(=syndroom),maar dus andere etiologie.Bij flebitis hoeft geen trombose op te treden, zo ja: thromboflebitis
