Litzenberger, who was my Angel of comfort, peace and love, passed away of Lung Cancer. I was crushed, heartbroken… feeling that my life would never be the same without her. Then… eight years later on 26 December 2003, my beloved Dad, Wayne A. Litzenberger, my best friend, my hero… passed away of COPD/Emphysema. That is when I truly knew in my heart, that by no means would my life ever be the same. I would forever carry that emptiness in my heart for not only my Nan but also for my Dad. It was at that point in my life when I realized I had to learn more about Lung Disease. I had to become involved in helping other COPD and lung disease individuals and their families educate themselves about these breathless diseases, and also about the harmful effects of tobacco. Hence, I became an Advocate For Lung Disease Awareness & Smokefree Living My Advocacy work is very important to me.
