saddle/ perisaddle lesion letsel van/rond de sella turcica Explanation: Dit zou ik denken omdat je het hebt over een schedelscan. The sella turcica (Turkish Chair) is a saddle-shaped depression in the body of the sphenoid bone of the human skull and of the skulls of other Hominidae including chimpanzees, orangutans, and gorillas. The seat of the saddle is known as the hypophyseal fossa, which holds the pituitary gland. The hypophyseal fossa is located in a depression in the body of the sphenoid bone. Located anteriorly to the hypophyseal fossa is the tuberculum sellae. Completing the formation of the saddle posteriorly is the dorsum sellae, which is continuous with the clivus, inferoposteriorly. The dorsum sellae is terminated laterally by the posterior clinoid processes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sella_turcica -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 20 mins (2014-08-05 16:24:17 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "peri" in "peri-saddle" betekent 'rondom' 'rond' 'bij' e.d. de sella turcica -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2014-08-05 17:05:24 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Eerst staren, dan licht. Translator business as usual. :-) There's a linguistic treasure inside of you anytime you know how to find it. But you need knowlegde and understanding as well. Knowlegde and understanding precede translation and inspiration as does 'staren'. Good luck. |
