Does anyone know what BFRs or sponge bullets are.
These rounds are deployed for instance by SWAT teams.

Explanation:
BFR = indeed "big frame revolver", otherwise (and probably erroneously) called "big, finest revolver".

As for the sponge bullet, maybe what is referred to here is the "sponge round" or "sponge grenade", used in riot control (see links below), although it has a different (bigger) caliber than the BFRs.
